What You Need to Know About the EV Charging Tax Credit

Are you planning to purchase an electric vehicle charging station in 2021? If so, we’ve got some exciting news for you! A retroactive federal tax credit for those who purchased environmentally friendly transportation, including expenses for EV charging infrastructure, was recently approved by Congress. These tax credits, along with other financial incentives, will help make it much easier and cost-effective for you to invest in EV charging stations for your business.

What Does This Mean For You?

Purchase and install your ChargePoint EV Charging station by December 31, 2021, and your business may be able to receive a 30% federal tax credit (up to $1,000 for residential installations and up to $30,000 for commercial installations) on the cost of buying and installing an electric vehicle charging station. However, to be eligible, you must purchase and install the electric vehicle charging station by the date listed above.
